Leslie & Dave
de Beaux

Dave remained in Quartzsite, AZ and waited for Leslie's return on December 28, 2008.
On December 31, 2008 we spent the evening in the park clubhouse with friends from our RV Park and brought in the NEW YEAR 2009. Fun was had by all!
We started the new year at the Club House in our RV Park. In this Club House they have a music jam every Wedesday at 6:30 PM and on Thursdays at 1:00 PM. They have musicians from all walks of life. It is some of the best music I have ever heard and there is no charge. It is acoustic music, no amplification.
We have Molly in our park. She is one of the best dogs around.

We made two trips to Blythe, California to do some shopping. Blythe is located across the Colorado River from where we are staying, a distance of 22 miles.
We made two trips to Brenda, Arizona to visit our friends from Blaine, Washington, Cletus and Connie who have made their lives FULL-TIME RVing, also. They have a 40' Beaver Motor Home. (Really nice).
The BIG TENT is up and the POW WOW has started here in the Arizona desert. The venders are here and things are really rolling along. If you have not ever visited Quartzsite during the winter season you should really try it.
We attended a fund raiser for Celia's Rainbow Garden, a memorial honoring the memory of the eight year old daughter of the owner of Reader Oasis Book Store. (See Celia's Rainbow Garden ) Her father the book store owner dressed in a vintage tuxedo plays a wicked boogie woogie piano. This is an annual event.
We had friends Michael and Lori from central California stay at our RV park for almost a week. They have a 25' Bigfoot fiberglass trailer that they are readying for full-time RVing.

Our son Daryl and wife Renee spent a few days with us. They have a 27' Tioga Class C motor home. They were on their way to Texas.

The Big Tent is down and all the venders that were inside have left for the season.
We are attending the music jams and shows that are very good. You would spend big money to see the talent that is here in Quartzsite, AZ and for free. Some of the shows ask for a donation of $3.00 to $5.00, however they are very good and well worth the price of a donation.
It is now February 28, 2009 at 9:00 and this closes the month of February - OH yes we had an electric bill of $17.44 today. Life is very inexpensive when you live in a 13' fiberglass trailer. Really it is a five room home, only not all at one time.
MARCH 2009
The California Mid-Winter State Fair will be going on during that time, so we plan to take it in also.
We received word that friends of Dave since his childhood days in El Centro, CA will be arriving in El Centro, CA on March 3, 2009
thru March 11, 2009. They are from Alaska. We have made arrangements to visit them from Thursday March 5, 2009 thru Monday March 9, 2009. We will
be taking our Geezer Egg Trailer with us.
We had a wonderful visit with our friends from Alaska. We toured the valley and of course had to visit the BIG MEXICO FENCE at Calexico. I really don't think that fence will keep the illegal people out of the USA. Appears to us that it is a good thing for them to climb over.
April 2009
Now that we are into April and our plans have been competely upset by a family illness in Fernely, NV where Leslie's son-in-law has
an illness that the doctors can not find. He was hospitalized for a week and a half and they found nothing. He is home now and on more pain meds
than four people should be taking. Leslie flew up and then I followed with our trailer (GZR EGG) arriving on April 17, 2009. We are in a holding
pattern for now.
May 2009
Well here we are now in May and we are still in a holding pattern. Son-in-law is still ill..... Not good.
